What Is a Nervous System Reset Retreat? (And Why You Might Need One More Than You Think)
I’m a sleep coach and lifestyle coach. I spend a lot of time with people who, on paper, are doing
Raven’s Retreat Hocking Hills is a one-of-a-kind space in nature, built by artists, on 58 private acres.
We could fill our spaces constantly.
We choose not to. Our nature preserve and the quality of your transformation come first – always.
This is not a low-cost, heads-in-beds space. Our retreat spaces are intentionally curated, eco-luxury environments built for transformation – overflowing with creativity and designed to spark connection, inspiration, and rest.
Whether you’re planning a men’s retreat, women’s retreat, corporate offsite, group couples retreat, friend group getaway, collaborative workshop, or a private retreat for yourself or your partner – every experience here is designed from scratch through a personal process guided by Raven, supported by our team handling scheduling, logistics, and on-site coordination.
No two retreats look the same, because no two people, and no two groups, are the same.
A vacation gives you a break A retreat gives you something to bring home.
The experiences we design are built around transformation – not just rest, but real shifts you can carry into daily life long after you’ve left the preserve.
That might mean a mindset shift that changes how you handle stress. It might mean a movement practice or workout routine you can actually sustain.
It might mean a new relationship with food, with quiet, or with how you spend your time.
Every retreat we design includes a focus on life skills that transfer – tools for better mental and physical shape that don’t disappear the moment you get back in the car.
As lifestyle coaches, this is at the core of how Raven and Dustin approach every retreat. That is the difference between leaving feeling rested and leaving changed.
Raven and Dustin are both lifestyle coaches, and Raven’s background is also in patient care.
One of the truths she carried out of that world: no patient is the same. Every person has their own mental, physical, and lifestyle needs – and they deserve to be treated accordingly.
Retreats are no different. What a company needs after a hard year looks nothing like what a women’s group needs to reconnect, or what a couple needs to celebrate, or what one person needs after burning out alone.
We do not hand everyone the same package and call it custom.
We start by listening. Raven and Dustin both play a role in this. Raven leads the consult call – and in some cases Dustin joins as well. Together, they design the retreat. Raven and Dustin also personally facilitate several of the experiences offered, so the people who built this place are often the same people holding your retreat.
People come to Raven’s Retreat for many different reasons. Some of
the most common:
Nervous system reset
Burnout recovery
Creative inspiration and reconnection with making things
Couples reconnection or celebration
Team building that actually feels like something
Men’s and women’s group retreats
Friend group connection
Collaborative workshops with outside facilitators
Building sustainable mindset and movement habits
Silence – time in nature with no agenda at all
If silence is what you need, we will not suggest programming you do
not want. Some of the most powerful retreats we have hosted had
very little structure and a great deal of space. We will never suggest
an experience we do not genuinely feel is the right fit for you.
Men’s retreats. Women’s retreats. Corporate and team offsites. Group couples retreats.
Friend group getaways. Whatever the makeup of your group, programming is designed around what brings you here -reconnection, reflection, creativity, or simply space outside of daily life.
If you’re looking for a fully guided experience for your group, explore our Group Wellness Retreats.
This is a structured group retreat for private groups, organizations, and close-knit communities who need more than a night away.
Three nights in the Art Lodge on a 58-acre private nature preserve in Hocking Hills, Ohio, with a curated day-by-day flow designed around connection, restoration, and shared experience. Brunch and dinner are included daily. One guided wellness or creative experience is included each day, chosen to fit your group.
Sleep overnight.
Forest bathing session on the preserve
Private group yoga class
Group massage therapy session
The rest of the day is self-directed. Walk the on-property wellness trail, visit the meditation area or forest fitness stations, watch wildlife on the preserve, journal, hike nearby Hocking Hills State Parks, try rock climbing, go paddleboarding or canoeing, or visit Jack Pine Studio. When you’re ready to slow down, the hot tub and sauna are there for exactly that. Every evening the firepit is yours to gather around.
Sleep overnight.
Choose one guided experience for your group:
Sculpting or painting workshop with master sculptor Dustin Weatherby
Private sound bath session
Wild edibles tour on the preserve
The rest of the day is self-directed. Use the time however your group needs it – more trail time, more stillness, or more of what worked yesterday. Close out your final evening in the hot tub, the sauna, or gathered around the firepit under the trees.
Sleep your third and final night on the preserve.
Check out by 11am. Leave connected.
The Collective Reset starts at $10,000 for 3 nights.
Pricing is based on $800 per person, per night and scales with group size and season. The $10,000 reflects the minimum total investment. Final pricing is confirmed on your consult call.
We ask for a minimum of one month of lead time.
Exclusive use of the Art Lodge and full 58-acre nature preserve
Brunch and dinner daily for your group
One guided wellness or creative experience per day
Full access to private trails, wellness trail, meditation areas, and outdoor gathering spaces
Hot tub, sauna, and firepit available every evening throughout your stay
Cold plunge available upon request
Pre-retreat planning call with Raven and Dustin
We have many additional optional add-on experiences available beyond what is listed here. We will walk you through everything on your consult call.
Brunch and dinner are included daily. Meals are nutritious, thoughtfully prepared, and tailored to your group’s dietary needs. If your group has specific preferences or restrictions, we’ll handle those details on your consult call.
Breakfast is not included. The Art Lodge has a fully equipped kitchen – mornings are yours to move through at your own pace. Some groups enjoy cooking breakfast together as part of the shared experience. Coffee, the kitchen, and the preserve are all yours from the moment you wake up.
Fully programmed day experiences for groups of up to 14, designed and led entirely by Raven and Dustin.
Day retreats start at $500 per person with a $3,000 minimum to reserve. Pricing includes nutritious, delicious meals and all wellness and creative experiences in your custom programming.
We ask for a minimum of one month of lead time.
For more on this format, visit Team & Group Day Retreats.
Collaborative Day Retreats and Workshops
For larger day groups, we partner with outside collaborators and facilitators to host workshops for up to 20 people in a single day.
These are designed alongside the collaborating facilitator or organization, blending their programming with our space, hospitality, and creative elements.
If you’re a facilitator, instructor, or organization looking to host a larger day workshop here, start with a consult call so we can talk through what a collaborative day looks like for your group.
Examples of this format include our Group Art Workshop with Terra Art Gallery, and our Improv Team Retreat with WitWorks, built for corporate teams and leadership groups working on connection and communication through play-based facilitation.
Group Overnight Retreats
The Art Lodge accommodates up to 16 overnight guests.
The Art Bungalow has one king bed that sleeps up to 2 additional people – so a group staying in the Art Lodge can expand to up to 18 if two guests stay in the Bungalow as well.
Multi-night group retreats are available as 3-night, 5-night, 7-night, and 14-night experiences. Pricing, meals, and what’s included are outlined in The Collective Reset above – or scoped in your custom proposal if you’re building something outside that format.
A private solo retreat is one person, hosted in the Art Bungalow – your own private space on the preserve, designed entirely around you.
Solo retreats are a minimum of 3 days and start at $2,000. Because solo and couples retreats involve fewer logistics than group experiences, we can often assemble them in less time than a full group retreat.
This is different from joining an in-house group retreat. If one of our in-house group retreats is taking place at the Art Lodge, a solo guest may have the option to join that retreat as a participant – but only if it’s currently available and aligns with what you’re looking for. It is not a private experience, and it is not the same as booking your own solo retreat in the Bungalow.
Ask about availability on your consult call.
Learn more on our Solo Retreats page
A private couples retreat is two people, hosted in the Art Bungalow and built entirely around what you both need – reconnection, rest, creative exploration, or celebration. Couples retreats are a minimum of 3 days and start at $2,500.
Same as solo retreats, lead time is more flexible. As with solo retreats, a couple may also have the option to join an inhouse group retreat at the Art Lodge as participants, if one happens to be available and it’s the right fit. That is a separate option from booking your own private couples retreat in the Bungalow.
Ask about availability on your consult call.
Learn more on our Couples Retreats page.
If you lead your own retreats, events, or workshops and want to create your own program, you can still book a consult call. Raven will answer your questions and help guide you to make sure our retreat center is the right fit for what you’re building.
Many retreat leaders choose the Art Bungalow as their own private space, or stay within the Art Lodge to build closeness with their group.
If you are bringing your own facilitators, they will need to align with our values around nature stewardship, intentional hospitality, and the wellbeing of guests. We can talk through that together on the call.
For select occasions, we can accommodate groups of up to 30 people on the property for the day – but this is by approval only, and not part of our standard offerings.
Examples include micro-weddings, retirement gatherings, and other meaningful one-time occasions that align with the values of our retreat center.
If this sounds like what you’re planning, the first step is always a conversation with Raven and Dustin to talk through your vision and whether it’s the right fit for our preserve.
Nearly everything. Here is what guests and groups have shaped:
Wellness and movement: sound bath, somatic breathwork,
meditation, yoga, forest bathing, massage, lifestyle coaching, and
movement practices designed to continue after you leave
Creative experiences: sculpting, painting, guided art interpretation
tour of the property, ornament creation, wild edibles foraging walk
with Dustin
Mindset and life skills: reflection practices, stress-response tools,
and habit-building work designed around what you can realistically
sustain at home
Food: nutritious and delicious meals tailored to your group’s
preferences and dietary needs, prepared by our on-site chef or
arranged through catering; cooking classes available as an option
Schedule and pacing: structure of the days, balance of
programming and free time, rhythm of the overall experience
Retreat tone: restorative and slow, creative and active, natureimmersive,
or a thoughtful combination
Not every retreat needs all of the above.
We will never suggest an
experience we do not feel is genuinely the right fit for who you are
and what you came here for.
Before anything is booked or proposed, we want to know one thing: is
this the right space for what you’re looking for?
That conversation happens first – either on a quick call or through a
written form. From there, if it sounds like a good fit, we gather more
detail through an intake form. Once we have that, Raven builds a
proposal specific to your retreat, event, or workshop. You review it,
and if it works for you, you book.
In short:
conversation → fit check → intake → proposal → booking.
Below is how each of those steps actually works.
Click “Book a Consult Call” to schedule a quick phone or video call
with Raven. (If you don’t see this button on the page you’re viewing,
visit our Contact page - it’s there.)
Our team handles scheduling, so
you’ll get a confirmation and reminder ahead of time.
On the call
itself, Raven will ask a few questions about your group and your goals.
If it sounds like a good fit, she’ll go ahead and fill out the intake form
with you live, right on the call.
If you’d rather start in writing, use the form on our Contact page to
tell us a bit about the retreat, event, or workshop you’re interested in.
Our team monitors inquiries and will follow up by email with a short
set of intake questions for you to fill out at your own pace, before
Raven reviews your answers personally.
If you don’t want a curated retreat, event, or workshop - and simply
want to reserve the Art Lodge or Art Bungalow on your own - use the
“Book Now” button. This skips the intake and proposal process
entirely.
You’re welcome to add a consult call afterward if you’d like
guidance, but it isn’t required.
Once you’ve booked your stay, you can also add individual wellness or
creative experiences à la carte - these typically range from $300 to
$1,200 depending on the experience.
If you’d rather have everything
designed and bundled into one proposal from the start, that’s what
the consult call and intake process are for (see below).
Once your intake form is complete – whether filled out live on your consult call or returned by email – Raven reviews it to confirm we’re a good fit for your needs.
If we are, you’ll receive a custom proposal by email within 72 hours, outlining your retreat, event, or workshop and its investment.
To lock in your dates, 50% of the proposed price is due at booking.
The remaining 50% is due 4 months before your check-in date.
If you’re booking within 4 months of your check-in date, full payment is due at booking.
Every wellness and creative facilitator we work with has been personally vetted by Raven. This roster was built over years of inperson relationships – not sourced from a directory.
We do not publish names publicly, but when a facilitator is part of your retreat we have done the work of confirming they belong there.
Raven and Dustin personally facilitate several experiences themselves – including sound bath, sculpting, the art interpretation tour, and wild foraging walks.
When you work with us, you are working with the people who built this place.
All curated retreat proposals include:
Meal inclusion varies by retreat type. The Collective Reset includes brunch and dinner daily. Custom group retreats outside of the Collective Reset may include meals depending on what is scoped in your proposal. Solo and couples retreat packages do not include meals by default – but meals and chef experiences can be added on your consult call. All curated retreat proposals will clearly outline what is and is not included before you book.
All wellness and creative experiences outlined in your proposal
On-site support from Raven and Dustin throughout your retreat, backed by our team handling logistics and coordination behind the scenes
Full access to the preserve – private trails, wellness trail, outdoor gathering areas, and retreat spaces
A note on add-ons: if you book a curated retreat through a proposal, any wellness or creative experiences you want are bundled into that single price – you won’t see a separate line-item charge for each one.
If you book the Art Lodge or Art Bungalow on your own without a proposal, individual experiences can be added à la carte afterward typically ranging from $300 to $1,200 depending on the experience.
A vacation is time off. A retreat at Raven’s Retreat is designed with transformation in mind – including mindset shifts and physical practices like workouts and movement routines that you can realistically continue once you’re home. The goal isn’t just to feel good while you’re here. It’s to leave with tools that support a healthier, more sustainable daily life.
Yes. We design group retreats for men’s groups, women’s groups, companies and teams, groups of couples, and friend groups, with programming built around what your specific group needs.
A collaborative day retreat is a single-day workshop hosted in partnership with an outside facilitator or organization, accommodating up to 20 people – more than our standard in-house day retreat. We design these together with the collaborating facilitator, combining their programming with our space and hospitality. Current examples include our Group Art Workshop with Terra Art Gallery and our Improv Team Retreat with WitWorks. If you’re a facilitator or organization interested in this, start with a consult call.
The Art Lodge sleeps up to 16 guests. The Art Bungalow has one king bed that sleeps up to 2 additional people – so a group of 16 in the Art Lodge can become a group of up to 18 if two people stay in the Art Bungalow as well. For day retreats led entirely by Raven and Dustin, the maximum is 14 guests. For collaborative day workshops with outside facilitators, the maximum is 20 guests.
Yes. Multi-night group retreats are available as 3-night, 5-night, 7-night, and 14-night experiences. The Collective Reset is our packaged 3-night offer. If you’re looking for a longer stay or a fully custom experience outside that format, we’ll scope it together on your consult call.
Yes. Multi-night group retreats start at $800 per person, per night with a $10,000 minimum for stays of 3 nights or more. This minimum does not apply to solo or couples retreats. Day retreat pricing is separate – see the Group Day Retreats section above.
For select occasions, we can accommodate up to 30 people on the property for the day. This is by approval only – examples include micro-weddings, retirement gatherings, and other meaningful onetime occasions that align with our values as a retreat center. It’s not a standard offering, so the first step is always a conversation with Raven and Dustin.
When you book the space on your own, you plan your own experience. A custom retreat means Raven designs the programming, coordinates facilitators, and holds the experience from intake to checkout.
Both options are available – choose “Book Now” for the space alone, or start with a consult call or contact form for a curated experience.
It depends on how you book. If you go through a consult call and intake form and receive a custom proposal, any wellness or creative experiences are bundled into that one price – there’s no separate charge. If you book the Art Lodge or Art Bungalow on your own without a proposal, you can still add individual experiences afterward, à la carte, typically ranging from $300 to $1,200 each.
Yes. A private solo retreat is hosted in the Art Bungalow, designed entirely around you, starting at $2,000 for a minimum of 3 days. A private couples retreat works the same way, also in the Bungalow, starting at $2,500. These are separate from joining an in-house group retreat at the Art Lodge – which solo guests or couples may be able to do as participants, but only if one is currently available and it’s the right fit. Ask about both options on your consult call.
That is a completely valid retreat. Some people need silence, stillness, and space – not a schedule. We can accommodate that. Reach out and we will talk through what a simpler, nature-immersive stay looks like for you. Pricing for those experiences differs from fully programmed retreats.
Yes, especially if you are a retreat leader hosting your own program, or part of a collaborative day workshop. Facilitators you bring will need to align with our values around guest wellbeing, nature stewardship, and the integrity of the experience. We can talk through that on the consult call.
For group retreats, we ask for a minimum of one month. For solo and couples retreats at the Bungalow, we can often work within a shorter window. The more time we have, the better we can prepare.
Once your proposal is confirmed, 50% of the total price is due to lock in your dates, with the remaining 50% due 4 months before your check-in date. If you’re booking within 4 months of check-in, full payment is due at booking.
We are located at 17683 Thompson Ridge Rd, Laurelville, Ohio 43135 – on the western edge of Hocking Hills, on a private 58-acre nature preserve. Exact arrival instructions are provided after booking.
Raven leads the consult call and the intake process. Dustin is involved in designing the retreat experience, and in some cases joins the consult call as well. Both Raven and Dustin personally facilitate several of the experiences offered on retreat. Behind the scenes, our team supports scheduling, communication, and logistics, so the details are handled while Raven and Dustin focus on your retreat itself.
Book a free 15-minute consult call, send us a message through the contact form, or – if you just want the space – use the Book Now button. Raven will follow up personally on any inquiry involving a custom retreat, event, or workshop.
We are not the right fit for everyone – and we mean that genuinely.
When we are the right fit, the experience reflects it.
Book a free consult call or reach out through the contact form and Raven will connect with you personally.
