All cancellations will incur a 15% fee, which includes administrative and payment processing costs.
Guests who cancel more than 6 months prior to the retreat or workshop date will receive a refund.
Cancellations made between 3 and 6 months before the event will receive a 50% refund.
Due to the extensive planning, custom arrangements, and facilitator scheduling required for each retreat, cancellations made within 3 months of the event are non-refundable.
When only renting a retreat space, guests must cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in for a refund.
Otherwise, to receive a refund, guests must cancel at least 30 days before check-in.
Guests that cancel between 7 and 30 days will be refunded 50% of nights booked.

Our 6 person cleaning team charges $30 per each 15 minutes for late checkout. Late checkout must be approved in writing and paid in advance. They clean multiple retreat spaces daily.
The Hot tub/Spa has planned and scheduled maintenance to assure a quality experience for all guests. Hot tub abuse will cause the water to become cloudy and/or unusable. If the spa is left in disrespectful condition, the booking guest will be charged a $500 emergency cleaning fee. We will be required to drain, refill, scrub, replace filters, and balance the entire tub of 350 gallons of water on Short Notice. This avoidable water waste violates our sustainability practices. Out of respect for all of our guests, we do not allow any guests to use an unsanitary hot tub. Be mindful. Be respectful. Our cleaners are top notch, and document a clean hot tub with videos and pictures after each cleaning session to assure a quality hot tub experience for all guests. Please do make us charge you this emergency cleaning fee.
All guests must be adults and must be listed on reservation. Each Guest exceeding maximum rental occupancy will be charged $200 per person/per night. Trespassing will be enforced. The wellness and spa areas on the property are not safe for children.
Minimum rental age is 21 for a Tiny Art Bungalow and 25 for the Unique Art Lodge Klad House. Copy of government-issued photo ID required. Id must match the name of the credit card used to book. Booking guest must be present the entire retreat reservation. No 3rd party bookings allowed.
No parties or events unless agreed upon in advance with the host. Talk to us about your plans; we want you to have fun while respecting our nature preserve and custom spaces with many art installations.
Kitchen – Dishes, countertops, stovetop and refrigerator should be clean upon checkout. Remove all perishable, personal food items. Additional cleaning required will be charged at $120/hr for our 6 person cleaning team.

Garbage – Please bag all trash. Alert hosts when ready for pickup. Trash can also be driven up to the top of the driveway and placed in the large brown dumpster. Please keep trash indoors. No matter what, DO NOT LEAVE TRASH OUTDOORS. Wildlife may pursue; this can be harmful.
No smoking Indoors or On Any Cloth Patio Furniture.
(No Littering of Any Butts anywhere on the property. This is harmful to wildlife. Absolutely, do not litter trash anywhere on the nature preserve.) Any sign of smoking indoors or on cloth patio furniture (including odor) will result in an additional $500 cleaning fee. Do not place butts in the fire pit.
No firearms or fireworks permitted anywhere on the property.
No Domestic Animals Allowed in Retreat Spaces Within The Nature Preserve. Domestic Animals Have Attacked Our Wildlife Many Times In The Past.
You may see our 25 pound, 15 year old-black Jack Russel-mix on the nature preserve while at Raven’s Retreat Hocking Hills. Peanut is very friendly with humans but is not friendly with domestic animals.
Fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished before leaving the area. Registered guest(s) assumes all responsibility and liability of fires in fireplaces and fire pits. Fires outside designated areas not permitted at any time. Use of liquid fire starter chemicals is prohibited. In extreme weather conditions, outdoor fires may be prohibited.
Missing items are a $30 minimum additional charge such as towels or glasses.
Quiet hours 10:00pm to 8:00am. No yelling or loud music outdoors.
Please consider the effects of bright lights and how these lights can negatively affect the well-being of nocturnal wildlife. We are strong promoters of eco-tourism. The use of green, yellow, or low light is better for them. Many lesser disruptive lights have been installed at our properties for guest convenience.
Exterior security cameras are installed at our properties.
Leave No Trace Ethics – please leave the natural surroundings as you found them, which includes staying on marked trails, not removing any items from their original environment, collecting and properly disposing of all trash, respecting the trees, wildlife, and other guests.

Amenities such as appliances, entertainment systems, and hot tubs may occasionally require maintenance. If you notice any problems upon checking in, please notify us immediately and we will work to resolve them as soon as possible. Availability of these items is not guaranteed and no rental concession or refunds will be given for time without these items.
No hunting, fishing, or swimming on the nature preserve. Ravens Retreat is a rehabbed wildlife release site with endangered species present.
There are inherent risks of staying in a natural setting, including falling from a height, limbs/trees falling on the house or deck area, animals, insects, etc. These are risks that cannot be eliminated without changing the essential nature of the experience. All guests are responsible for their own actions during the course of their stay and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Raven’s Retreat LLC, the property owners, agents and employees for damages or injuries to persons, their minor children, pets or property by reason of any cause either in or around the premises.
The registered guest assumes sole responsibility for any damage caused to the property. Raven’s Retreat LLC reserves the right to charge the registered guest for any damage to the premises or excessive cleaning ($120/hour) necessary resulting from your stay. The reservation is subject to immediate and nonrefundable cancellation if guests become disruptive, unruly, or unregistered guests are on the property.
