This is a solo retreat designed for people who need space, clarity, and a slower rhythm. Whether you are navigating burnout, transition, grief, or creative fatigue, the setting supports a more grounded reset.
Burnout is not just feeling tired. It is what happens when your nervous system has been in overdrive for so long it no longer knows how to shift down. Chronic overstimulation – constant decisions, digital noise, relational pressure, and the inability to fully rest – keeps the body locked in a low-grade stress response. Over time that dysregulation shows up as exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix, difficulty being present, emotional flatness, and a creeping sense that something essential in you has gone quiet.
Nature is one of the most evidence-informed environments for nervous system regulation. Reduced sensory input, natural light, birdsong, the absence of artificial urgency – these are not luxuries. They are the conditions your nervous system needs to move out of survival mode and begin to restore.
At Raven’s Retreat, the setting does a significant amount of the work before any add-on is introduced. Fifty-eight acres of private preserve. No crowds. No agenda imposed on you. Raven’s background in wellness, sleep medicine, and lifestyle coaching shapes every optional experience available – from somatic breathwork and forest bathing to sound healing and one-on-one wellness sessions – each designed to support genuine nervous system recovery, not just relaxation theater.
You do not have to be in crisis to come here. You just have to be honest that what you’ve been doing isn’t working anymore.
Because the property is adults-only, the atmosphere stays peaceful and intentional. You have room to settle in, unplug from pressure, and reconnect with yourself in a private natural setting.
Solo retreats can remain beautifully simple, or you can add guided support to shape a more immersive experience.
Optional wellness add-ons may include massage, yoga, meditation, somatic breathwork, and lifestyle wellness coaching to support deeper rest and personal clarity.
Yoga teachers visiting solo often use their stay to scout the property for a future group retreat – learn more about our yoga retreat venue in Hocking Hills.
Nature-based experiences can include forest bathing, guided eco-nature walks, and sound bath sessions that help you slow down and settle into the landscape.
If your retreat is centered around creativity, you can add painting, sculpting, guided art experiences, or other custom creative offerings based on your goals.

Step outside to private trails, wellness spaces, and room to breathe. This is a setting where you can hike, journal, meditate, or simply sit in silence without interruption.
This retreat is built for people who are high-functioning on the outside and running on fumes underneath. Executives, healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, and caregivers who haven’t had real unstructured time in longer than they can remember. If you feel overstimulated, overextended, emotionally flat, or like you’ve forgotten what it feels like to not be needed – this is the right setting.
Some guests come for space after a breakup, a loss, or a major life transition. The setting offers privacy, softness, and room to process.
Others come for uninterrupted creative time. If you need quiet to write, think, sketch, plan, or reconnect with your work, this space supports that process.

Yes. Raven’s Retreat is one of the few private retreat settings in Ohio designed with nervous system recovery in mind. The combination of genuine quiet, 58 acres of private nature preserve, no forced schedule, and optional somatic and wellness add-ons makes it a strong environment for people experiencing burnout. You are not handed a program – you are given space, and the option to add guided support if and when you want it.
A nervous system reset means creating the conditions for your body to move out of chronic stress activation and into genuine rest and recovery. In a retreat setting, that happens through reduced stimulation, time in nature, unstructured rest, and – if you choose- somatic practices like breathwork, sound healing, or forest bathing. At Raven’s Retreat, the environment itself is designed to support this: no crowds, no noise, no artificial urgency, and 58 acres of private forest to move through at your own pace.
That is exactly who this retreat is for. You do not need energy, a plan, or a wellness goal to arrive here. Many of our solo guests come in depleted and spend the first day doing very little – sleeping, sitting outside, soaking in the hot tub, or walking the trails alone. The space holds you without requiring anything from you. Optional add-ons are available if you want guided support, but nothing is required beyond showing up.
